  • Fast

The word "fast" keeps coming up in my mind these couple of days. Dunno why.
Is it because of my work schedule? is it due to my coming trip to HK and Malaysia? Emmm....

Thinking of "Fast", two very phenomenon gentlemen come to my mind. Usain "Lighting" Bolt, the first man in history to set world records in all three sprinting events at a single Olympics. And the amazing physically gifted Michael Phelps, who holds the record for the most gold medals won at a single Olympics with the eight golds in swimming he won at the 2008 Olympic Games, and a whopping 7 of them are world records.

    Incredible.

  • 08-08-2008 Olympics is "One World, One Dream"

8-8-08 was the opening date for 29th Summer Olympics in Beijing. The opening ceremony was astonishing and amazing. The "Human Synchronized Moving Block" was incredibly mind-blowing impressive. London will have a tough time try to top this in 4-years time. 8-8-08 is also my 3 years anniversary with my current company. I worked here exactly 3 year ago on 8-8-05. In Chinese, the number “8” sounds like prosperity. August 8 for me is just a nice date, I’m not superstitious; it is a nice number!

8-9-08 is my younger sister’s birthday. Happy birthday, Pam! Can’t wait to witness your beautiful wedding this coming Oct. Congratulations!

8-10-08… Jason Lezak, the oldest man on U.S. Olympics swimming team, pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in Olympics history, that it broke the world record for the 400m freestyle relay. Lezak swim was so amazingly fast in the last 25 meter, that he caught up with Alain Bernard (who is a former world record holder of 100 m & at one point almost 1-full body length faster than Lezak), and beat the favorite France team by a mere finger tip on his last strokes.

Elsewhere, there is numerous world record set during the swimming competition. It is so remarkable that people are getting stronger and stronger as the technology is improving on every single Olympics.
